Castle

Lately, Roman has become very attentive to the world around him. Something about being 2 and a half has just made the world a lot bigger, and Roman seems like he is drawing himself together somehow to reach out and explore and conquer. We seem to be going through a time of transition and growth, which means anger and frustration, but also new joys and discoveries.

As we drive around Roman has been paying a lot more attention to the world outside his car window. On our way home from church we drive along the Potomac, and we can see Georgetown University across the river. Yesterday, as we drove, Roman noticed the spires and tall buildings of the university and said, "Castle!". pause... "Roman go to castle". pause... "I need a boat".

  1. Love! Get that boy a boat. :0) If he had a boat, he would want to go for a ride in it down the Potomac. During his ride he might become hungry and want a picnic lunch. . . :0) You totally have the makings of a learning about D.C. story - the adventures of Roman. "One day on our way home . . ." Missing you guys.
