There is no question that Roman is a sharp little kid. He loves to play "dinosaur tour" on our way to the park. He pointed out dinosaurs all along the way. "There is a megalodon playing in the soccer field!" Or "do you see the pteranodon in the tree over there?" He can give details on the diets and behaviors of over a dozen species of dinosaur. Obsessed would be putting it mildly.
Yet at the park today what made me so proud was his 14+ attempts at running up the slide. He just kept trying! He would nearly make it again and again. I loved how he would back up and run farther or start closer and run faster. And he got it! I know that this perseverance will serve him well. Even more than the smarts.
This picture was taken while he was explaining in great detail his process of learning how to run up the slide.
