Selah had her 4 month appointment today. She is growing well. Just now 15 pounds. Just 10 less than her big brother. She is a smiley happy baby. She likes to sleep and has started to settle into a nap routine and just one night waking (around 4 am) to nurse. She loves watching people and will stare with great intensity until she makes eye contact with someone, and then she breaks into a huge grin.
Roman has started to state when he thinks things are funny. And I mean he states it. He looks at whatever it may be and simply says, "Funny." Smiling and laughing are not necessary. Though truthfully, he laughs and smiles often.
I should say he laughs and smiles off and on. We have been having a rough last couple of weeks. Roman has been begging, whining, and crying pretty consistently throughout the day. It seems that everything in this big ol' world is just too much for him right now. Especially when Mama says no to some new desire of his heart. He also has so many thoughts and opinions he is desperate to communicate, and often he does not have all the words he needs to communicate the need.
Pray for all of us as we walk through this tough spot. I know that we will balance out in the end.
