Things Seen and Heard Around Here

1. Roman has a little LeapFrog Caterpillar that sings different nursery songs depending on which leg you press. Last night he sat on the floor in the kitchen with his back to the rest of us, and he repeatedly hit the W... for the Wheels on the Bus. Each time he played the song he sat quietly and did the motions that accompany the different verses. My heart was filled to overflowing watching him go through the motions we have practiced together so many times. He is watching, learning, and practicing each day.

2. Roman loves his puzzle. It is one of those cardboard puzzles that fit back into the frame from which they were cut. The picture is a mosaic of small photos of 30 or more animals. He has done it at least 3 times a day for the past 3 weeks. Occasionally he misses a day, occasionally he does it 10 times in one day. When Kevin's mom came to visit he called her Debbie Puzzle. Debbie Puzzle did the puzzle with Roman 15 or more times a day.  Recently as Roman tries to fit a puzzle piece in he says, "Ah, Ah, Ah..." When it snaps into place, he finishes by saying, "CHOO!" We don't know why.

3. Selah has started taking a Nuk. Sometimes it stays in, usually it doesn't. Roman has discovered he can take the Nuk from her mouth and make her cry. When he returns it to her mouth she stops. Repeat. Again and again.

I love being a mom to these  fabulous creatures.

  1. Roman, way to be true to yourself, buddy. Sing that song, work that puzzle, learn about what makes your sister happy and sad. Your puzzle sneeze is fabulous. We may just start that around here during our own puzzle times. Your Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Andrew, Kaeden and Elise love you very much.
